Nicole Seitz is the author of seven highly acclaimed novels—The Cage-maker, Beyond Molasses Creek, The Inheritance of Beauty, Saving Cicadas, A Hundred Years of Happiness, Trouble the Water and The Spirit of Sweetgrass. She is also the editor of When You Pass through Waters: Words of Hope and Healing from Your Favorite Authors and co-editor with Jonathan Haupt of the anthology, Our Prince of Scribes: Writers Remember Pat Conroy. Seitz holds a BA in journalism and mass communications from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and a BFA in illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. She has illustrated the covers and interiors of several of her books. Seitz lives in Charleston, SC with her husband and two children where she teaches visual art, edits publications and is working on her next novel.
